Tim – word has it that I may just be down there in your neck of the woods in October talking about fair trade coffee and beer with some group of radical students from the University of Houston!

I’ll post details in the events listings on the blog here once we have things nailed down.

The only way it could get better than this would be if they had more of these events in other parts of the country, say Austin, or even Houston, TX. Did you know that Real Ale of Blanco, TX. is now brewing a Shade Grown Coffee Porter for fall release? And did you know that Katz Coffee right here in Houston, TX is supplying the organic fair trade coffee for the brew? And did you know that they’re planning some activities around that release right here in Houston? I’m envisioning an opportunity for the Beer Activist to speak while quaffing some Texas micro brew. Someone told me that the University of Houston Students for Fair Trade might be bringing the Beer Activist to Space City to speak during fair trade month which is when the beer is going to be released! Say it is so oh mighty beer activist.
