What a disappointment! I’m sure the beer will be good and the venue is perfectly suited, but brewpub beer is definitely a cut above and would give the place a certain cache that a tap house can’t. I’ll never forget my first brewpub beer at Triple Rock in Berkeley, CA. The Red Rock Ale made a lasting impression and I was really looking forward to enjoying fresh beers made on the premises. I’m also disappointed that Hook and Ladder haven’t been better about keeping us up to date on the status of the proposed brewpub/tap house. A lot of people are anxiously awaiting the opening and I feel like they’ve kept us in the dark.
