DC Great Whisk(e)y Debate

Sip some scotch and imbibe some bourbon while supporting the troops and their families.

Simon Brooking (Scotch Ambassador) and David Mays (Bourbon Ambassador) will debate the nuances of Scotch Whisky and Bourbon Whiskey, entertaining guests with the history of the two spirits. Guests can judge for themselves with samples of each. There will also be “menu offerings” — not sure if that means food is included or attendees can purchase food. But check it out, it is for a good cause: Operation Homefront.

Operation Homefront provides emergency assistance to U.S. troops, to the families they leave behind and to wounded warriors when they return home. Operation Homefront leads more than 4,500 volunteers in 30 chapters nationwide and has provided assistance to more than 45,000 military families.
